GOODNESS GRACIOUS ROUND TWO

AUTHOR: the authorS(plural) of this of this document is the British government, at least thats what it said on the internet and it does very much make the most sense. More than likely it was a rough of a document being sent obviously to the king, i wouldn't say telling him how it is but more making sure it was approved. Then I'm sure it would be published or moved on to the names and the other people of "our city of London and elsewhere" of the first colony and then the people of the "Cities of bristol and Exeter, and of our Town of Plymouth, and of other places".
THIS BRINGS US TO AUDIENCE: which includes those just listed but as said in the reading more descriptively the "certain Knights, Gentlemen, Merchants, and other Adventreres..." will be the people going to live in the colonies along with their company so there for this document would hold importance because it is BASICALLY the law. Something one should know when living somewhere. Listed within the document are names such as Sir Thorn as gales, Sir George Somers, and many more but my point is that that would make them a main audience as well sense this a letter permitting them with privileges, the giving of their license from the government " to make Habitation, Plantation and to deduce a colony of sundry of our People".
TONE: This is a commanding piece whose objective soul purpose to command, direct and inform. An authoritative tone is laced throughout the document of course but in points such as the first page, last paragraph, the intensity seems to change. More as in the paper , "Us" show some views and opinions. It is possible that in that time those were facts not to be reckoned with but today would be known as an opinion. Trying to transform those who they believe are savage because they are not conformed. TO ME i feel that this section sticks out from the rest of the reading. A more extreme , directed, tone. Cant really think of the word but DIFFERENT point that is very much explained, throughly detailed as if making sure it would not be mistaken of looked over.

PURPOSE: To inform and direct, divide, place , organize and finalize. To set the boundaries and basically cover the main issues that could occur and any confusion about the colonies , the powers, the boundaries and laws.

PERSUASION:
ETHOS:Emotion; they use the emotion to express urgency. Example they use literature and the topics to inflict fear, passion of excitement in the reader, inflicting the correct emotion is a way of persuasion, get the audience where you want them to be. Going back to the example on the first page of religion , they use some figurative language such as "live in darkness and divine ignorance" . Thats possibly the most descriptive part of the document, showing where their concern and main focuse lies sense they put more thought and passion into this section. But as the ever reoccurring theme of human ick overtaking the human good intention, that focus will more than likely, sadly, be lose .

LOGOS:Logic; The logic is used well, all their laws or rules made are based on good reasoning that is made obvious in the reading. SO therefore easily persuading the reader because MOST people don't disagree with facts unless usually blinded by popular opinions SUCH AS IN POLITICS(HINT). But the logic would be something not to be questioned due to their CREDIBILITY-----> PETHOS:Credibility/character: This document being written by THE government, gives them PLENTY of credibility for any persuasion sense what they say goes MIGHT AS WELL AGREE. When it comes to character, well its not one person BUT they carry themselves in a polite and formal manner through the reading , supportive and reasonable. They give barely anything of opinion or showing character making it a mutual point. MUTUAL including audience.
